Established in 2012, Detroit Vegan Soul (D.V.S) is the very first vegan eatery in the Detroit area serving up spectacular dishes. Owners, Erika Boyd and Kristen Ussery-Boyd of this wonderful soul food cafe offers a 100% plant-based menu full of color and flavor and started D.V.S after deciding to change to a vegan diet in 2010.

With offerings on their bountiful menu like Southern Fried Tofu , D.V.S Burger, Black-Eyed Pea Hummus and Catfish Tofu, their plates are not lacking in the soul food favorites we are familiar with. Although, mastered the healthy way.

Being sustainably conscious, Detroit Vegan Soul  partners  with local food providers such as Earthworks, Keep Growing Detroit and D Town farms who provide them with organic produce and they give back to those businesses, food waste for composting.  As well as serving food that is additive, preservatives and GMO free, D.V.S also offers soy and gluten-free options.
